DIC China Brings Color & Comfort to Life Through Employees’ Children’s Art
In 2025, the Corporate Communications team at DIC (China) Co., Ltd. explored new ways to promote the DIC Group’s Color & Comfort brand proposition among employees, particularly in China.As part of this effort, the team launched a co-creation project with employees and their families across China, featuring children’s drawings in the company’s 2026 desk calendar. The initiative helped foster a sense of unity and warmth within the organization and beyond.

As global food and beverage manufacturers increase the use of natural food colorants to meet rising consumer demand, DIC Group subsidiary, Earthrise Nutritionals, is significantly expanding the capacity of its California-based facilities to grow the source of its natural blue food colorant LINABLUE® phycocyanin, the edible blue-green algae spirulina, using more sustainable, smart-farming technologies that contribute to a more circular economy.

In June, 19 emerging technical leaders from across Asia gathered at DIC’s Tokyo Plant for an intensive five-day program. As of March 31, 2021, Kainan Nobinos, a unique community complex that opened in Kainan, Wakayama Prefecture, the preceding June, had welcomed more than 500,000 visitors. One reason for this facility becoming so popular that it has people from Kainan and the surrounding areas lining up at the entrance every day before it opens is the use of various and unique “tricks” that encourage children to naturally learn to love books.

Kainan Nobinos:A Tranquil Library Resplendent in Traditional Colors (Chapter 1:Irodori)
Kainan Nobinos opened in Kainan, Wakayama Prefecture in June 2020. This unique community complex features a library, a hall that holds up to 254 people, a bouldering room, a café, a public plaza and other facilities. Kainan Nobinos makes use of a range of DIC Group products and services.
