Natural mica

Sun Chemical natural mica

Supply-chain transparency matters

Child labor and other social issues have been identified in mica mining in some regions. Sun Chemical mica is mined at our own mine in Hartwell, Georgia, USA. The mine operates under regulations applicable to mines in the United States and works to reduce environmental impact through recycled-water use in on-site ponds, backfilling and reforestation of mined areas, and process improvements that increase yield while limiting the amount mined. The mined mica is bagged and tagged to support traceability throughout the supply chain.
