Announcement of Withdrawal from Moody’s Credit Rating

Tokyo, Japan—DIC Corporation announced today that effective today it has withdrawn itself from the credit rating (corporate family rating) it had obtained from Moody’s Japan K.K.

DIC had obtained credit ratings from Moody’s Japan and the Japan Credit Rating Agency, Ltd. (JCR). Following a comprehensive assessment of the benefits and costs of maintaining these ratings, the Company resolved to seek withdrawal of the Moody’s rating. DIC intends to maintain its JCR rating.

This matter will have no impact on DIC’s operating results. Looking ahead, the Company will continue working to improve its results while promoting efforts to maintain a sound financial position.
