Overview of "UltraNanno" Microalgae Feed
DIC’s microalgal feed "UltraNanno" is a concentrated, plant-based aquaculture feed made from the microalga Nannochloropsis.
Its high omega-3 content (including DHA) enables the omega-3 level of rotifers after feeding to reach approximately twice that achieved with enriched chlorella.
"UltraNanno" is produced using clean electricity, CO₂, and warm water sourced from geothermal power plants in Iceland. The algae are cultivated in a closed-system photobioreactor with LED illumination, allowing stable, year-round production of high-quality Nannochloropsis with minimal contamination.
