Tokyo, Japan—DIC Corporation today announced that it, together with strategic partner Emerald Technology Ventures, will hold an international innovation summit focused on the Physical AI domain—namely, Innovation Summit: The Future of Physical AI – Shaping Human-Machine Interaction—which is scheduled to take place in Zurich, Switzerland, on July 10, 2026.

This event marks the first full-scale initiative undertaken by DIC D2S Ventures AG, which was established in March 2026 in Zurich as DIC’s European investment base. Through this event, DIC aims to strengthen its collaboration with the European deep tech ecosystem and to create future opportunities for collaboration and investment in physical AI. A number of key players in this domain will be featured. In addition to a session by Google DeepMind, a global leader in AI research and development, there will be startup presentations and discussions on the latest trends and industrial applications relevant to physical AI.

Physical AI—a technology that uses sensors, wearables, robotics and automation to enable AI to interact with the physical world—is expected to dramatically reshape the way industries and societies function in the years ahead.

DIC is committed to leveraging its materials technologies, cultivated over many years, as well as its Direct to Society (D2S)* business creation mechanism, to create new social value through collaborative creation with startups.

Innovation Summit: The Future of Physical AI—Shaping Human–Machine Interaction is currently accepting registrations from interested startups, venture capital firms, academic institutions and corporations active in physical AI.

Going forward, DIC plans to further expand collaboration with, as well as investments in, promising startups in the physical AI domain, primarily from DIC D2S Ventures AG. The Company will also build a global innovation network from its European base with the objective of creating new businesses in this area and strengthening its competitiveness over the medium-to-long term.

*Direct to Society (D2S) : A new approach to business creation that anticipates future societal challenges, directly presents the necessary solutions and value to society, and drives commercialization through their implementation.
