LINABLUE®, a blue pigment derived from the algae Spirulina, is a vibrant food coloring extracted with water from Spirulina, which is often referred to as the king of superfoods.
The main component, phycocyanin, is a complex of phycocyanobilin and protein, involved in photosynthesis, and is expected to have health-promoting effects, thus attracting attention as a health food ingredient.

LINABLUE® is safe to use as it does not contain organic solvents. Another attractive feature is that a vivid blue color can be obtained with just a small amount of additive, around 0.01-0.1%.
It is the only blue colorant derived from natural ingredients that complies with US and European food standards and is recognized as safe, with a proven track record of use in a variety of food products, including ice cream, gum, and candy.
