    Phenol novolac epoxy resins are multifunctional epoxy resins manufactured from phenol novolac resin and epichlorohydrin. When cured, they form cured materials that possess a mesh structure with a high cross-linking density. They also demonstrate excellent performance in heat and chemical resistance and are used in composite materials, resists, and laminates. Three product numbers are stocked from liquid grades with good flowability to solid grades with better heat resistance, and they can be used according to application and demand characteristics. In addition to these solid product numbers, solvent diluted products are also stocked.

    Novolac Phenol Resin for Curing Agents

    PHENOLITE is a novolac phenol resin for epoxy resin curing agents. When a novolac phenol resin is used, the cross-linking density of the cured material is higher and heat resistance, moisture resistance, and chemical resistance are superior when compared to other epoxy resin curing agents. PHENOLITE accommodates various applications and demand characteristics, so grades with differing molecular weights and nitrogen contents (ATN type) are stocked. In addition to solid types, solvent solution types are also available.

    Alkyd resins for coatings

    Alkyd resins are polyester resins for coatings modified with fatty acids. Fatty acids are mainly made from oils such as castor oil and coconut oil, and are excellent in pigment dispersibility, gloss, and durability. In order of the highest amount of oil, they are called long oil, medium oil, and short oil alkyd resins. In recent years, we have also added waterborne alkyd resins to our lineup as sustainable products.

    DIC's alkyd resins are modified with other resins such as acrylic, urethane, epoxy, phenol, and silicone to provide a wide range of highly functional product lineups.
