Tokyo, Japan—DIC Corporation today announced the publication of its inaugural report focusing exclusively on sustainability. The Sustainability Report 2026, prepared in both Japanese and English, is now available on DIC’s global website.
To further strengthen dialogue with stakeholders, including shareholders and investors, the DIC Group has revised its disclosure framework beginning in fiscal year 2026. This involved reorganizing the former Integrated Report into two separate publications—the DIC Report and the Sustainability Report—each with a clearly defined role.
Against a backdrop of increasingly stringent sustainability reporting requirements around the world, including in the European Union, which introduced the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) in 2023 and has since adopted the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), DIC is working to enhance the quality of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) information it publishes and improve the transparency of its disclosure.
DIC’s Integrated Report now focuses on strategies and the Group’s value creation story aimed at enhancing corporate value over the medium to long term, while the Sustainability Report provides detailed ESG-related information and data. This has enabled the Company to strengthen its disclosures with future CSRD and ESRS reporting requirements in mind, while establishing a disclosure framework that makes it easier for stakeholders to access the information they need.
The Sustainability Report 2026 presents comprehensive information on the DIC Group’s approach to sustainability, its governance framework, approach to double materiality assessment, and detailed environmental, social and governance (ESG) information. The report provides clear, comprehensive information, including supporting data, on initiatives that underpin the Group’s sustainable growth in key areas such as climate change, resource recycling, safety, product quality, human rights, human resources, and governance.
Summary of report content:
• Sustainability management approach and governance framework;
• Initiatives related to addressing climate change, reducing environmental impact, and promoting resource recycling;
• Initiatives related to human rights, human resources and diversity;
• Information on corporate governance and risk management; and
• ESG-related data, reference tables and indices.
Looking ahead, the DIC Group will continue to prioritize constructive dialogue with stakeholders and contribute to the long-term enhancement of corporate value and the realization of a sustainable society through transparent information disclosure.
