- News Release
Tokyo, Japan—DIC Corporation announced today that it was named a Supplier Engagement Leader—the highest possible rating—in the 2025 Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by CDP,* a nonprofit organization (NPO) that operates a global environmental disclosure system. This is the first time the Company has earned SEA Leader status.
CDP’s SEA uses questionnaires to assess participating companies’ climate change initiatives across their supply chains in five scoring categories: governance and business strategy, targets, Scope 3 emissions, risk management processes and supplier engagement. The goal is to evaluate how effectively companies are working with their suppliers to address climate change challenges.
Under the DIC Group Universal Purchasing Policy, which guides its global supply chain management, the DIC Group has adopted environment-friendly purchasing practices. Guided by this policy, the Group conducts supplier assessments as part of its sustainable procurement efforts and, based on the results thereof, engages with its suppliers by requesting and providing support for improvements. Recognition of these and other efforts led to the Group receiving the highest rating in the 2025 SEA.
The Group will continue to work with its suppliers to improve sustainability across its supply chains by promoting long‑term dialogue and actions, with the aim of helping to realize a sustainable society.
