Environmental issues are a global problem. In recent years, our evaluation of paper has been changing from a sustainability perspective. One of these is its water-resistance. As soon as water penetrates paper, it loses its strength and breaks apart. Conventional film lamination increases the water resistance of paper, but it decreases the ability to effectively recycle it. HYDBAR® is a water-soluble coating that is designed with the environment in mind. It can contribute to solving environmental issues by conferring water-resistance to paper without the loss of other properties.
