Alkyd Resins for Normal Temperature Drying Coatings
Alkyd resins are manufactured from the condensation reaction between oil or polyols, acids, and alcohol. They are typically used as binders for coatings and printing inks. In particular, medium and long oil alkyd resins that contain high content of oil/polyols and modified alkyd resins undergo oxidation polymerization as air drying with the combined use of a dryer, and these are used in the coatings for industrial products.
