Resins for Urethane Coatings

BURNOCK is a group of urethane-based resin products featuring one-component types that use an isocyanate reaction and two-component types composed of a base resin and curing agent. Polyurethane resins are used in a broad arrange of fields, from coatings for wood working and floors, to anticorrosion coatings for bridges and tanks, coatings for automobile repairs, and automotive part coatings, because they have excellent properties such as water resistance, chemical resistance, and strength.
DIC offers moisture curing types, lacquer types, and oil modified types as one-component isocyanate modified resins.

Product Lineup

  • Moisture cured types: A strong coating film is obtained by reacting with moisture in the air.
  • Lacquer types: A coating film with excellent chemical resistance is obtained by drying.
  • Oil modified types: A strong cross-linked coating film is obtained by the oxidative curing of oils. Compared to alkyd resins, superior chemical resistance and solvent resistance in general.
